Today I went to see the Garry Winogrand exhibit at SF MOMA.  His photographs are beautiful, and I am very glad that I went to see them in person.

I feel that photography like this can be so powerful because it reminds us of what is already there.  Beauty, pain, joy, suffering, peace — there are so many remarkable moments that stand before us day after day, but we have to be fully aware in order to see them.  Garry Winogrand did exactly that, and captured some incredible moments during his lifetime.
